VICS is switching from ParentSquare to Alma!
Valley Inquiry Charter School is excited to announce that we will be transitioning from ParentSquare to Alma as our primary parent communication platform!
Alma will give families one convenient place to stay connected with our school, keep track of student progress, and communicate with teachers. We are looking forward to making this transition and providing families with a more centralized way to access important school information.
What is Alma?
Alma is a school communication and student information platform that brings several important tools together in one place. Through Alma, families will be able to:
View Grades: Keep track of your student's grades and academic progress.
Receive Attendance Notifications: Stay informed about your student's attendance, including important attendance notifications.
Get School Updates: Receive announcements, news, and important updates from Valley Inquiry Charter School.
Stay Connected with Teachers: Communicate directly with your student's teachers and stay informed about what's happening in the classroom.
Access Student Information: Use one platform to stay up to date on important information related to your student's school experience.

What to Expect During the Transition
We understand that switching platforms takes time, so we will be making this transition gradually to give families time to get comfortable with Alma.
Over the Next Week: You will receive an email from Alma at the email address you have provided to the school. This email will include a link to create your account and get registered.
Now Through October 30: We will be using both ParentSquare and Alma during the transition. You may receive communications through either platform, so please continue checking both.
After October 30: Alma will become our primary parent communication platform, and we will no longer use ParentSquare.
What Do Families Need to Do?
Once you receive your registration email from Alma, please sign up as soon as possible. Follow the link in the email to create your account and complete the registration process. If you have not received the link by October 9th, reach out to the office and we can look into it further.
Registering is an important step in making sure you continue to receive school announcements, attendance notifications, classroom updates, and other important information from Valley Inquiry Charter School.
We strongly encourage all families to complete registration promptly so there is no interruption in communication during this transition.
We are excited about this change and the opportunities Alma will provide for our school community. We appreciate your patience and support as we make this transition together. Our goal is to make it easier for families to stay informed, connected, and involved in their student's education.
