Meals

We are excited to share more information about Valley’s new school meal program for the 2026–27 school year! This year, we are partnering with Ordo to provide breakfast and lunch for our students.

🥕 About Ordo

One of the things we are most excited about with Ordo is their focus on fresh, made-from-scratch food. Valley will partner with a local Ordo chef who prepares our school meals fresh each day, rather than relying primarily on prepackaged, heat-and-serve meals.

Our menus include kid-friendly favorites alongside fresh fruits and vegetables, with meals such as teriyaki chicken and veggie fried rice, BBQ pulled pork, tacos, chicken and creamy cheddar mac, pancakes, and more.

We are excited to offer our students meals that are fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and made locally each school day! 🥕🍎

Meal prices for this year are:

Breakfast – $2.20
Includes a baked good, fruit, a protein item (such as a cheese stick), and milk.

Lunch – $4.20
Includes a main entrée, side, fruit and/or vegetable, and milk.

💳 Paying for Meals: LINQ Connect

Families will use LINQ Connect to add money to their student’s meal account. LINQ Connect allows families to add funds, monitor balances and cafeteria purchases, set up automatic payments, and receive low-balance alerts.

Before school begins, families should:

  1. Download the LINQ Connect app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

  2. Register for a family account and verify your email.

  3. Add your student using their Student ID Number.

  4. Add money to your student’s meal account so they are ready to purchase breakfast or lunch.

📌 Your student's ID card is stapled to the LINQ Connect paperwork you received from Valley. Please keep this card at home for your records. You do NOT need to send the card back and your child does not need to bring it to school each day. Valley has laminated student ID cards available in classrooms and the cafeteria for meal service.

Once funds are added through LINQ Connect, they are available immediately after the transaction is completed. Families can also choose to set up Auto Pay.

🥪 Free & Reduced-Price Meals

Oregon’s Free and Reduced Lunch applications will be included in the information packets families receive during Supply Drop-Off/Meet the Teacher.

We strongly encourage families who think they may qualify to complete an application. Free or reduced meal pricing will begin once a family's application has been approved. Until approval is received, regular meal prices will apply.
